Auckland, New Zealand
Every board, rack and table starts as a single slab of rimu, kauri, elm, walnut or maple — cut, joined and finished by hand in a small Auckland workshop.
A handful of what's currently on the bench — the full range is in the shop.
How each piece is made
Timber is sourced, dried and picked for grain before it's ever measured — every board carries the marks of the tree it came from, so no two pieces are quite the same.
Read about the processSlabs are chosen by hand for grain, colour and stability.
Cut, jointed and shaped with an eye for how the grain will read.
Sanded through fine grits and oiled by hand, in coats.
Wrapped and shipped, or ready for pickup in Auckland.
